How's it going, RANatics? I suppose you've noticed this particular GM's unannounced "inactivity" in the RAN world. She has been recently transferred to a different department, which is why she kept on bugging me to put up her last message to the community before anything else. Well, since I'm such a generous (and dashing) person, I've decided to give the space to Ms. Makulit, GM Tichiel!

tichiel the archerI was insane, and yet at the same time, I was calm. This is how a GM works inside the busy office of e-Games. And for more than a year working here, I’ll get you’ll to understand more on what I’m trying to say. ^_~



The Name & Title


Tichiel is the weird character who loves animals and a bit clumsy at the world of Talesweaver (an old Japanese game). My title sets off the players in-game and in the forums, asking insane yet calm, baliw ka po ba GM? ^^

And most of the time, they’d call me Tichi for short… it’s like a puppy name. ^_^

And so, without further ado, here’s my memoria in-game and offline:


The Forums

Before, I was in-charge of the forum moderators, alongside with another GM. We gave them rules on how to clean and maintain order in the forums, as well as how to handle themselves in the recent hot topics. They call me “lawyer” when it comes to handling lots of issues in the e-Games boards.

The Guild Congress

Oye to the max! This was my favorite thing to do: interact with the Ran Online community. I maintained the GC Boards and updated all the prominent and new guilds on the latest happenings, the gatherings and other events for the guild members. Plus, I get to chat with them using the GC YM (and I’ve also created that said messenger because it’s easier for e-Games to contact them during events). I’ve also attended the Guild’s anniversaries whenever they give out invites (in-game that is) to the GM team. And secretly, trip ko talaga kumuha ng screenshots lagi! ^^

Favorite so-called moments in-game

After the long downtime and emergency maintenance, usually there’s a compensation such as a free-for-all Suryun Event in the practicing yard…


Me:Free-for-all Suryun Event at the Practicing Yard! Enjoy! ^_^


Player: Akala mo GM makukuha niyo kami sa pa-suryun suryun lang? Umayos nga kayo! Sayang pera namin sa !@#%$^&* na maintenance ninyo!


What happened afterwards? The player eventually came to the practicing yard and joined  the Suryun Event… ~_~


And the most nerve-wracking of all time:


Player: GM! Online ka po ba? Nagchange po kasi ako ng password kanina, nagalt-tab lang ako kasi nagvevend yung character ko… eh nakalimutan ko yung password na binago ko (just 2 minutes ago) at hindi po ako makalogout dahil ndi na po ako makakapasok ulit mamya! Pwede ko po ba makuha password ko sa inyo please?


Off-the-record

I love underground music, attending events and conventions, collecting lots of knee-high boots (sue me! XD) and sobrang adik sa online games. I’ve played almost everything since highschool from counter-strike up to the latest MMORPGs including Ran Online. I also own at least 2 homepages, 6 blogs, and 2 DeviantART accounts. I’m also addicted to photography and shopping.
